Information we collect
To let your wishlist sync across devices and be visible to the friends you choose to follow, Weeshlist creates an account for you and stores your wishes — item name, price, currency, photo, shop link, and priority — in the cloud, along with a display name and a unique ID (UID) used so friends can find your list.
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
Device permissions
Weeshlist may request permission to send you local or push notifications — for example, when a friend adds a wish. It may also request access to the clipboard when you tap "Paste" to save a product link, and to Photos if you choose to attach your own image to a wish. No other device permissions are requested.
The Safari extension
The Weeshlist Safari extension reads the page you're actively viewing only when you tap its button, to extract a product's name, price, and image. It does not run in the background, track your browsing history, or collect data from pages you don't explicitly save.
How data is used
Your wishes and profile are used to power the core features of the App: showing your wishlist, syncing it across your devices, and displaying it to friends you've connected with. Free users see ads served through Google Mobile Ads. Weeshlist does not sell your personal data.
Data sharing
We share only what's needed with:
- Firebase (Google) — to store and sync your account and wishlist data.
- RevenueCat — to process and manage your subscription, tied to your App Store account.
- Google Mobile Ads — to serve ads to free-tier users.
- Friends you connect with — your wishlist, display name, and completed/priority status are visible to friends who follow your list via your UID.
We do not share your wishlist or account data with any party outside of these integrations and the friends you choose to connect with.
Data storage and security
Your account and wishlist data is stored in Firebase (Firestore), encrypted in transit, and accessible only to your account and the friends you've connected with. Some data — such as a local cache of your wishes — is also stored on-device to keep the app responsive offline.
Your choices
You can edit or delete individual wishes at any time, remove a friend connection to stop sharing your list with them, and request full account deletion by contacting us below — this removes your wishes and profile from our systems.

We aim to comply with applicable data protection regulations, including:
EU users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by contacting us below.
California residents may contact us with any request regarding personal data we process.
Children's privacy
Weeshlist is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
